RESERVATION POLICIES
Payment
Terms: All reservations for 27 nights or less will require an
initial payment of $300.00 at time of booking. For reservations of 28 nights or longer an
initial payment of 10% of the total rental charge is due at time of booking. The remaining
balance is due 60 days prior to arrival by check only. No credit cards are accepted for the
balance due. If payment is not received by the due date Lighthouse Realty is authorized to
cancel the reservation and forfeit any monies paid. Refunds or adjustments cannot be made for
late arrival or early departure.
Check-In:
The check-in process begins at 3 p.m. but is not
guaranteed. We are happy to accommodate you whenever possible however please refrain from
making your travel plans around an early check-in.
Check-Out:
Checkout will be promptly at 10 a.m. If you would like a
late check out or extend your stay, please notify our office at least 24 hours prior to your
departure date; if your present accommodations are available we would be happy to provide a
rate quote. Please return all keys to the office
or lock box.
Security/Damage
Deposits: At time of arrival, Lighthouse Realty requires an imprint
of a major credit card to be held in lieu of a security deposit. The cardholder will be
authorizing Lighthouse Realty to charge their credit card for any unpaid balances, damages to
the rental property not resulting from normal wear and tear, loss or breakage of furnishings,
excessive cleaning charges, non-return of keys, or long distance phone charges and service
fees.
Cancellation
Policy: All cancellations are to be made in writing to Lighthouse
Realty and are subject to an administrative fee of $100. For stays less than 28 nights, if cancellation occurs within
60 days prior to your scheduled arrival date Lighthouse Realty will retain all prepaid funds
unless the originally reserved property is re-rented for the same dates at the same rental rate.
For stays 28 nights or longer, if cancellation occurs within 90 days prior to your scheduled
arrival date, Lighthouse Realty will retain all prepaid funds unless the originally reserved
property is re-rented for the same dates at the same rental rate.
Unforeseen
Circumstances: There are many things that we can control but two that we
cannot are weather and construction. No refunds will be given for cancellation or
interruption that occurs due to inclement weather. We highly recommend purchasing Travel
Insurance (restrictions apply). Because tourism is the largest industry on Sanibel and
Captiva Islands, there is often construction going on. Should you find yourself near
construction, please exercise patience and understanding. In the event it becomes
intolerable, we will do our best to talk to the contractors, however Lighthouse Realty cannot
guarantee any refunds or moves.
Confirmation:
Reservations are not confirmed until a representative from
Lighthouse Realty has confirmed the booking. Should it be necessary Lighthouse Realty
reserves the right to adjust or cancel any confirmed reservation.
Substitution
of Accommodations:
Occasionally, it may be necessary to change the rental property originally booked due to
unforeseen circumstances. If this should occur, Lighthouse Realty reserves the right to
substitute comparable accommodations. Substitute accommodations and rate adjustments will be
subject to your approval.
Maintenance:
All maintenance items should be reported to Lighthouse
Realty in a timely manner; Lighthouse Realty will expedite repairs as quickly as
possible.
Pets:
No Pets Allowed.
Smoking:
All of our properties are non-smoking as a consideration to
our owners and our guests. Some properties may allow smoking on the
lanai.
Furnishings:
All rental properties are individually owned and decorated
according to the owner’s taste. The property décor may be changed from time to time by the
owner or due to owner exchanges.
Parking:
Parking at all rental properties is for automobiles only.
Motor homes, boat trailers, jet skis, pick-up trucks, etc are not permitted.
Amenities:
Amenities vary at each rental property.
Please contact Lighthouse Realty regarding specific amenities you may desire. It is not
guaranteed pools are heated however if they are heated the association determines the pool
temperature and dates heat is available.
Entry of
Premises: Lighthouse Realty maintains the right for any authorized
employee or repair person to enter the premises for any purpose related to the repair,
improvement, care, and management of the premises.
Student
Groups: Any guest under 21 years old must be accompanied by a
parent and/or guardian. Reservations obtained under false pretenses will be subject to
forfeiture of all amounts paid and the party will not be permitted to occupy any unit in our
Rental Management Program.
Causeway
Tolls: There is a $6.00 round trip charge to access Sanibel and
Captiva Islands, Lighthouse Realty does not reimburse for toll
charges.
Mail:
If you wish to receive mail during your vacation, please
have it sent to you in care of Lighthouse Realty, 359 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel Island, FL
3397. Please refrain from having mail sent directly to your rental
property.
Directions from Southwest Florida
International Airport to Lighthouse Realty
Take
Terminal Access Road to stop light, turn right onto Treeline Avenue Extension. Turn left onto Daniels Parkway, Daniels Parkway turns into
Cypress Lake Drive after crossing US 41. Proceed
straight on Cypress Lake Drive to Summerlin Road, turn left onto Summerlin Road (Summerlin Road
is the 3rd light after crossing US 41).
Continue on Summerlin Road to the Sanibel Causeway toll plaza, toll cost is
$6.00. From the Sanibel Causeway, make a left at
the four-way stop onto Periwinkle Way. Go
approximately 1 mile to our office on the right side of the road across the street from the
Lighthouse Café. The address is 359 Periwinkle
Way.
Directions from I-75 to Lighthouse
Realty
Take
I-75 to exit 131, head West on Daniels Parkway.
Daniels Parkway turns into Cypress Lake Drive after crossing US 41. Proceed straight on Cypress Lake Drive to Summerlin Road, turn
left onto Summerlin Road (Summerlin Road is the 3rd light after crossing US
41). Continue on Summerlin Road to the Sanibel
Causeway toll plaza, toll cost is $6.00. From the
Sanibel Causeway, make a left at the four-way stop onto Periwinkle Way. Go approximately 1 mile to our office on the right side of the
road across the street from the Lighthouse Café.
